Project overview

  • In August 2019, I took part in the UE4 Summer Game Jam, along with a team of 3 others, including a Technical Designer, Audio Designer and 3D Artist and were tasked to create a game around the theme ‘Make it Count’ in 5 days.

  • I took on the role of Level and Game Designer, with my core role being to design interesting puzzles, within the confines of the mechanics and core design of making every step matter. Throughout development, I was tasked with creating the level flow, pacing, events and layouts, whilst also focusing on challenge, level, environment and puzzle design aspects.

  • The role required excellent time management, scripting and creative thinking skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure, problem solve and work with all other departments, in order to create 8 engaging, functional and visually appealing levels.
