Project overview

  • For Tranzfuser 2019, I led a team of 15 people through the development of a game prototype over 16 weeks before pitching the game and earning a place to showcase at EGX. We decided to use the concept of a previous game, Heads ‘n’ Tails, and modify this into a more simple and themed game.

Project overview: Design

  • In my role as designer, I was in charge of building 3 elemental levels, ensuring they were consistent in theme, art and mechanics, whilst also making sure each had their own personality and unique features. To do this, I spent a lot of time working with the technical designer and each of the environmental artist to build 3 stunning and functional levels, using core design principles to design the core gameplay loop, interactions and key fundamentals of the game.

Project overview: Team Leader and Producer

  • My main role in this game was Team Leader and Producer/ Game Director. This role consisted of leading the team through development whilst maintaining and structuring limited resources such as time and finances to deliver deliverables on time to the highest standard possible. Throughout the process, I acted as a liaison between the team and contacts, filled gaps in the team by diversely hiring contractors and held regular meetings with the team to uphold communication, leading to a professional and friendly team dynamic.

  • With this, I oversaw and heavily participated in creative and technical development, working through problems with the team and game in a comprehensive manner and kept the team moving forward collaboratively towards a common goal, in order to create a proficient prototype, which we pitched to a range of game developers and industry professionals.
